This magnificent Bylaw oak bed has twelve such carved panels... eight in the headboard and four in the footboard. The bed is designed to accept a divan base and mattress 60ins wide x 78ins long and its over-all height is 78ins... a fairly typical height for domestic full tester oak beds of the 15th to 17th centuries.
